At the Seminar gala banquet, held on Wednesday, 13 September 2017 in the rooftop restaurant at Titania Hotel in Athens, representatives of two partner institutions of the WIETE received WIETE occasional awards, presented by Professor Zenon J. Pudlowski, WIETE Director. The recipients were Professor Ľubica Vitková, Dean, Faculty of Architecture; Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, Bratislava, Slovakia, and Professor George Metaxas, MCE&TE Director, Piraeus University of Applied Sciences (PUAS), Piraeus-Athens, Greece, Vice-President, WIETE International Academic Advisory Committee (WIETE-IAAC).

The citation attached to the sterling silver coin featuring a rooster reads: Celebrating the 5th Mediterranean Seminar on Engineering & Technology Education in the Year of the Rooster, this WIETE gift is presented in recognition of your achievements in engineering and technology education.

Professor Ľubica Vitková has been a strong supporter of our international network for a number of years now. She has attended several conferences and meetings organised by the WIETE, and has published many conference and journal articles on architectural engineering education.
