At the Conference Banquet, held on Wednesday, 20 February 2019, three Conference participants received WIETE occasional awards (Australian sterling silver coins featuring the relevant sign from the Chinese zodiac) given by Prof. Zenon J. Pudlowski, WIETE Director. The recipients were: Prof. Andrew Nafalski, Prof. Lucyna Nyka and Dr Aji P. Wibawa.

The first awardee was Prof. A. Nafalski of the University of South Australia, Adelaide, Australia, the Immediate Past-President of the WIETE-IAAC (President between 2014 - 2018); The citation attached to his silver coin read: Celebrating the 10th Jubilee WIETE Annual Conference on Engineering and Technology Education in the Year of the Pig, this WIETE gift is presented in recognition of your achievement in the highly successful Presidency of the WIETE International Academic Advisory Committee (2014-2018). It should be mentioned that Prof. A. Nafalski has been a strong supporter of our international network for many years. He has attended numerous conferences organised by the then UICEE and now the WIETE, and has published many conference and journal papers on engineering and technology education.

The second awardee was Prof. Lucyna Nyka, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture at Gdańsk University of Technology, Gdańsk, Poland; The citation attached to her gift was: Celebrating the 10th Jubilee WIETE Annual Conference on Engineering and Technology Education in the Year of the Pig, this WIETE gift is presented in recognition of your achievement in facilitating the partnership between WIETE and the Faculty of Architecture, GUT.

The third recipient of this award was Dr Aji P. Wibawa of Malang State University, Malang, Indonesia, and his citation was: Celebrating the 10th Jubilee WIETE Annual Conference on Engineering and Technology Education in the Year of the Pig, this WIETE gift is presented in recognition of your achievements in engineering and technology education.

On the 10th Anniversary of the WIETE, there was also a commendation to the WIETE Director, Prof. Zenon J. Pudlowski sent by Prof. Jacek Gyurkovich, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture at Cracow University of Technology, Kraków, Poland (a partner institution of the WIETE). This was read out and presented by Prof. Andrzej Białkiewicz, Vice-Rector, Cracow University of Technology, Kraków, Poland, assisted by Prof. Sabina Kuc of the same university.
