Since the World Transactions on Engineering and Technology Education (WTE&TE) by the World Institute for Engineering and Technology Education (WIETE) is open to everyone who is interested in the progression of engineering and technology education, a call for research articles is now made for the next issue of the WTE&TE, which will be Vol. 23, No. 1. The deadline for submission is 1 February 2025.
The very nature of the journal means that it is open to every facet of engineering and technology education and is not confined to traditional views about science, engineering and technology. As such, there are no overriding engineering or technology themes, but rather the overarching principle of the globalised expansion of engineering and technology education that is not confined by borders or within regions. The WTE&TE seeks to benefit all those involved in engineering and technology through the wider dissemination of knowledge.
Authors should indicate their interest as soon as possible. Additional information, including past articles and abstracts, can be found via the WIETE’s homepage at http://www.wiete.com.au under WTE&TE.
Interested persons should submit their original, previously unpublished articles to the WIETE for consideration for inclusion in the WTE&TE. Authors should be aware of the journal’s standard formatting structure, which will essentially be the same as for other UICEE/WIETE publications. Articles are to be submitted in MS Word format in 10pt font, single-spaced, single column, and must not exceed a maximum of 6 pages in total, including abstract and figures. Additional fees will apply for extra pages. Fees are based on cost recovery for editorial and publishing work, and every submitted paper of six (6) or fewer pages will attract a fee of $AUD1000. Each additional page will attract a page levy of $AUD150. Please note that all Australian submissions are subject to 10% GST.
The electronic kit for authors, incorporating standard formatting details and submission forms and covering copyright, will be supplied on request. Potential authors should notify their intention to submit a paper at their earliest convenience. Further correspondence via e-mail should be directed to the WIETE on info@wiete.com.au
It should be pointed out that the WTE&TE has been included in the list of journals generated by the Australian Research Council (ARC) under the Excellence in Research for Australia (ERA) initiative. The paramount objective of the ERA initiative was to launch a journal ranking list on a discipline-specific basis to evaluate research excellence and research impact.
The WTE&TE is included in the Scopus Journal Citation Index, one of the products of Elsevier, the world's leading multinational publisher of science and health information. This represents a further step forward in our persistent endeavour to make the Journal available to a wider global community of engineering and technology educators. |
